"What We're Made Of" Essay Contest 


The "What We're Made Of" essay contest, sponsored by Oregon Ag Fest, is designed to get students talking about the products that are grown and raised locally, and learn about the unique food, fiber and flora grown in their area. Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 are invited to submit essays no more than 250 words to this contest.

The Ag Education award seeks to recognize student organizations, nonprofit organizations, and classrooms that help promote and educate Oregonians about agriculture. This year, Oregon Ag Fest is excited to offer double the cash awards, totaling up to $4,500 for three winners annually. It’s an award for the great work you are already doing and a bit of funding to be used however you’d like with no need for reports or restrictions!
